1355 Richmond Ave., Staunton, VA 24401
The Commonwealth Center for Children & Adolescents (CCCA) is a state-operated, acute inpatient mental health facility dedicated to serving children and adolescents under the age of 18 across the Commonwealth of Virginia. As part of the Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services (DBHDS), CCCA provides critical psychiatric evaluation, crisis stabilization, and short-term intensive treatment for youth experiencing serious emotional and behavioral health challenges. Our multidisciplinary care teams, including child psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, social workers, educators, and therapeutic specialists, work collaboratively to develop individualized treatment plans that support each child’s clinical needs and overall well-being. Fully accredited by The Joint Commission, CCCA serves as a vital component of Virginia’s mental health care continuum, offering compassionate, evidence-informed care in a structured and supportive environment.
